Dear Sister Enslin and colleagues
The People to People Geriatrics delegation lead by James Webster have completed their mission to South Africa and returned to the States.
The delegation was highly complimentary of their meetings and was eager to point out many issues that had been raised for them in relation to their particular areas of work.
Prof Webster’s feedback noted it as an “a very very impressive facility. They are showing how to do a superb job without hi tech resources. I would be remiss if I did not point out that this was a real lesson for us.”
Further remarks from delegates indicated a great appreciation for the time spent with them. They felt that they were able contribute greatly to the meeting.
The overall impression that we got from their feedback was that the time spent with various role players in their profession was highly beneficial and brought to light the contrasts and potential, the difficulties and achievements that we face as professionals in South Africa.
It is reassuring to know that through stimulating and challenging encounters they were able to draw several interesting comparisons between the USA and South Africa.
It is a pleasure for us to have professionals such as yourself make such excellent contributions to our programs and trust that the exchange bears good fruit, tangible or intangible, in the future.
Thank you for the role you played in their mission. People to People truly appreciates the time, effort and interest you took to facilitate and participate in the meeting.
Please extend our gratitude to any of your colleagues for participating in this successful meeting.
Kind regards
Adele Botha
